1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Groupie marketplace at groupie.ie. By browsing, buying or selling on Groupie you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use the service.

2. Our role
Groupie is a marketplace. Each ticket, voucher or gift card is sold by an independent seller, and the contract for that purchase is between you and that seller. Payments are taken through the seller's own Stripe account — we never hold your money. We provide the platform, the QR pass and the redemption tooling.
3. Buying and using a pass
- After payment you receive a unique QR pass by email as a PDF. Treat it like cash — anyone holding it can redeem it.
- Passes are single-use unless stated otherwise. Gift cards may be part-redeemed until the balance reaches zero.
- Tickets are valid only for the event date and terms shown on the listing.
- Some listings require a confirmation password chosen by the seller at purchase; keep it safe.
- Attempting to duplicate, forge or resell a pass without permission voids it.
4. Refunds and cancellations
Refund requests are handled by the seller who issued the pass, in line with their stated policy and your statutory consumer rights. Where an event is cancelled, the seller is responsible for refunding buyers. Redeemed passes are generally non-refundable. Contact the seller first using the contact details on their profile; if you can't reach them, email us at hello@groupie.ie.
5. Seller obligations
- Provide accurate business details, listings, prices, validity and redemption terms.
- Honour every valid pass you issue and settle refunds you owe.
- Comply with consumer, tax, licensing and data-protection law in your jurisdiction.
- Keep staff scanner logins secure and remove access when staff leave.
- Maintain your own Stripe account in good standing.
6. Fees
Sellers pay a membership of €19.99 per month. Listing fees apply per item: €89.99 per deal, €19.99 per event (includes up to 100 tickets), €10 per additional 50 tickets, and €2.50 to create a gift card. There is no platform commission on sales. Stripe's own card processing fees apply as normal and are deducted by Stripe. Sellers may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period and data can be exported before closure.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Groupie to sell illegal, counterfeit, unsafe or misleading goods and services, to infringe others' rights, to attempt to bypass redemption or payment controls, or to probe, scrape or disrupt the platform. We may suspend or remove accounts and listings that breach these terms.
8. Liability
The platform is provided on an "as is" basis and we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for the quality, safety or delivery of anything sold by a seller. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud.
9. Data protection
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sellers act as independent controllers for the buyer data they receive and must handle it lawfully.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction. Last updated: 16 August 2026.
